Training and Certification of Competency Assessors in the Energy Conservation Sector

Bogor - To provide competent human resources in supporting the implementation of energy conservation supported by the availability of competent energy auditors and managers, it is necessary to be supported by the availability of similar competency assessors who are competent in assessing and testing competencies related to implementing energy conservation. The training and certification of competency assessor candidates in the field of energy conservation is organized based on collaboration between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (KESDM), the Institute for Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Management (IREEM), the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), 5 Institutions Professional Certification (LSP) with support from MENTARI Energy Efficiency from UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transition (PACT).

This activity is organized in preparing training and certification of competency assessor candidates which will be held for six days, from 6 to 11 December 2022, four days of training and two days of evaluation which will be facilitated from distributors and examiners who have been determined by BNSP. Up to 17% of those who participated in this program were female. It is hoped that the training and certification of competency assessors in the energy sector will facilitate the availability of competency assessors in the energy sector who are able to understand the Competency Certification System Policy, Plan Activities and Assessment Processes, Contribute to Validation of Assessments, promote Assessments, and Assess Competences where these competencies are very important in supporting the implementation of national energy conservation.
