National Energy Efficiency Award (PEEN) 2024 Proposal Assistance

South Tangerang - 5 July 2024, In order to improve the selection of participants and the quality of proposals for the 2024 National Energy Efficiency Award (PEEN), the Directorate of Energy Conservation provided assistance in preparing the 2024 PEEN questionnaire for the category of Energy Saving in Government Agencies. A total of 32 participants from 11 agencies attended and played an active role in compiling the questionnaire document. The participants came from Ministries and Regional Government Agencies in the Provinces of West Sumatra, Riau, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java and East Java.

 

 

In his opening remarks and speech, Mr. Eko Sudarmawan as Working Group for Technical Guidance and Energy Conservation Cooperation, said that this national energy efficiency award was one of the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to encourage the achievement of the national energy efficiency target of 17% in 2025 and reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions will reach 29% by 2030. "The National Energy Efficiency Award, previously known as the Subroto Award for Energy Efficiency (PSBE), is an appreciation given to stakeholders who have successfully implemented energy efficiency and conservation in the industrial and building sectors. building," said Mr Eko.

 

 

On the same occasion before the start of proposal assistance, there was a presentation regarding the guidelines for filling out PEEN proposals. In the presentation it was discussed that energy saving efforts in government agencies are classified into two subcategories, namely, Central Government Buildings and Regional Government Buildings. These two subcategories include work unit buildings that function as office administration. Questionnaire assistance is carried out in two directions, involving discussions between the participants and the accompanying facilitator who is specifically responsible for guiding the participants in filling out the questionnaire, as well as ensuring that every aspect of the questionnaire is understood in depth by all participants. 

 

The assessment and selection process for PEEN 2024 winners involved a team of experts who carried out an in-depth evaluation of the contribution of each agency in implementing energy efficiency. The announcement of the PEEN 2024 winners will be held at an official event involving the awarding of certificates and public recognition. After achieving victory in PEEN, the winners will have the opportunity to compete at the ASEAN level through the ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA). AEA aims to recognize and appreciate the contribution of industry players in the development of the energy sector.
